Position Description

Title: Behavioral Health Therapist II (LCSW or LPC)

Supervisor: Clinical Supervisor

General Qualifications: Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in State of Texas. Strong preference for prior experience with children, youth and families.

General Description: Provide individual, family and/or group therapy to clients. Willingness to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Classification: Contract (negotiable)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person (Center or community-based) and/or telehealth individual, group, and family therapy. Perform basic administrative tasks related to managing a caseload
  • Maintain complete, accurate and clear clinical records and documentation within the Center’s electronic health record system.
  • Attend and participate in agency meetings such as All Staff and Multi- Disciplinary Team Case Staffing’s (MDT).
  • Participate in Peer Review process on a quarterly basis and other Performance Quality Improvement duties as assigned in accordance with the Center’s National Council on Accreditation standards.
  • Participate in continuing education.
  • Obtain and maintain individual professional liability insurance for respective licensure.
  • Other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor and/or Behavioral Health Director.

  • Exhibit sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic differences in the service population
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in all Microsoft Suite program, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibit commitment to Center’s policies and practices to uphold diversity, inclusivity and equity at all levels of service delivery and employment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to empower children, youth and their support systems we serve.
  • Demonstrate ability to work Collaboratively with other personnel.
