Job Summary:

The TIC Specialist will Conduct trauma awareness training, messaging, and outreach. Conduct screening and initial intakes, create universal referral form, accept and follow-up on referrals. Services provided through diverse prevention/intervention projects include engagement, macro-level assessment, group work, classes/workshops and trainings. TIC Specialist may also provide services to professionals and behavioral health service systems. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or any other human services is required.

Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Conduct screening utilizing the Brief PTSD-Reaction Index with clients, ensuring timely completion of intake paperwork.

· Performs community-based outreach by attending community meetings and events, conferences, and one-on-one meetings to educate the public on the project and services.

· Plans and conducts various presentations and trainings for the community related to MHSM activities both virtual and in the community.

· Develop proficiency in mental health and trauma-informed training.

· Works closely with all project staff to coordinate and integrate services.

· Serves as a resource regarding trauma-informed theories, practices and principles.

· Integrates prevention and intervention on a systems level by identifying and supporting opportunities for system of care/community collaboratives. It is essential that the TIC Specialist works collaboratively with community agencies; provides public education regarding trauma informed care topics, through community presentations; and provide required data and reports.

· Knowledge of trauma-informed, evidence-based principles and modalities.

· Ability to work as a team player with project staff, families, and various community and education programs.

· Ability to interact effectively with partners and stakeholders.

· Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with partner agencies and families.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 per year
